Starting my online journey i had no idea what to promote! I thought “where can i find
something to promote and how can i choose one that’s not already being dominated”
I meet people today that have that same problem.
I first started my internet marketing journey when i stumbled up to the golden gates of
Clickbank there i discovered THOUSANDS of vendors eager for me to help them sell their
products.
I didn’t worry about finding a professional internet marketer to teach me how to make money
with google and clickbank i wanted cash and i wanted it now!!!
My brain began ticking over like crazy. I mean i could literally see dollar signs right in front of
me!!(You know just like in the cartoons)
Yeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaa!!!!! (That’s me being a cowboy)
I hit the mother load!
I could not believe that this world existed, i mean i was going to make some serious cash and
it seemed like it was going to be all too easy!
The first thing i did was search for a gym related product as that’s what i’ am into, i love the
gym so why not promote something i enjoy and make a heap of coin on the way. (Seemed like a good idea at the time)
My first venture was PPC and article marketing, hell i was going to be cashed up so why not
take on 2 ways of doing this and make twice the coin! (I’ am so smart! – lol)
I quickly found the product i was going to promote. It was a no brainer this one was going to
pay me 75% commission!! That meant (plans sound so good in your head don’t they?) i was
going to make around $60 a sale, 3 sales a day, so about $180 smackers per day for doing nothing.
This was going to be great!!
So away i went. I first jumped in to PPC and put up 2 glorious ads that would easily attract
1000’s of people, i mean everyone is looking for a gym program so why wouldnt they click on
my ad?? (haha, i gotta laugh thinking about it again)
Next stop was to write up my first article.
Easy-Peasy i thought. Away i went, took me just under 2 hours.
Boy was it good. (Sarcasim)
I had it packed full of keywords, Squidoo was nice enough to let me publish it through their
site so all there was to do was sit back and watch the money roll in.
DOES THIS STORY RING ANY BELLS??

Everyone reading this knows what happened. How many sales do you think i made??

You only need to have been around the successful internet marketing world for a short time
and you soon realise the more articles, ads, products and web pages you have the more
successful you will be but there is no point putting your heart and sole in to it if your targeting
the wrong market or the wrong side of the market.
You want to target a product that people are going CRAZY for!!
My biggest problem wasn’t how many ads and articles i put up (though it was my 2nd biggest)
but the niche i was targeting. It was to broad. I needed to find a side or section.
What about if i focused my ads and articles on “Weight lose after pregnancy”? Instead of
just general gym training?
HOW TO FIND THE BEST MARKET NICHE
Think about someone who suffers from acne. For the majority of their life they have looked in
the mirror and wished they had CLEAR skin. That they could go out in public or meet someone for the first time
and not be embarrassed. What do you think that person would do for a cure?
Do you think that this person would jump all over a product giving relief?
Of course they would!!!!
What about a mad keen golfer looking for a new club. Do you think he or she would just type
“golf” in to the search engine and hunt through the millions of results?
Hell no!!!
They would type in for example “Taylormade R9″ or “Callaway FT-i Driver” because these
people know what they are looking for!
Understand that the term “golf” is to broad just like the term “make-up” is also to broad.
